As a Vietnamese person, it's only fair that I'm extra critical of phở restaurants that I visit. This spot has plenty of options that will satisfy parties of any size and preference. Food: 4.25/5. The phở was great. Broth was quality, noodles were good, but I did find the meat to be lacking. I paid extra for the rib bones (I think $25 total for the bowl) and was just expecting more in the flavor department. Could also use more herbs. (I also got to share a plate of pepper salted squid, which I rate a 4/5. Good flavor, batter was on the thicker side..) Service: 5/5. The servers that tended to us spoke both English and Vietnamese, which I appreciate. Attentive, water always full, and made fun conversation. Ambiance: 4/5. On the louder side. Lots of TV's and top 40's pop music. Might not be your thing if you're used to quiet Viet spots (most are).

I've been coming to Pho Bac Hoa Viet for years with my friends and family and they never disappoint. Their chicken pho is my favorite, and their basil & other toppings are always SUPER fresh! We paired our meal this visit with their chicken egg rolls and some Soju and it was wonderful. Pro tip- if you like durian, they have a great durian shake as well!

I've been living in Sac for 3 years now & I have been coming here for that long. The food is always great, the variety and the prices are amazing. I'm vegetarian so I love that there's vegan/vegetarian options.

This unpretentious spot offers truly outstanding pho and Vietnamese cuisine. I've been a loyal customer for about 20 years, and it consistently delivers the most satisfying Vietnamese food around. While there are fancier places and those with more authentic offerings, this is the go-to for excellent pho and a variety of basic Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. The service is always quick, and they happily accommodate special orders. I even stop by to pick up their pickled carrots for my home cooking--they sell them in convenient sealed cups. I can't praise this place enough for maintaining its quality all these years.

Overall, it was pretty good! Pros: I loved the way they packaged the pho to-go. I ordered the rare beef pho. The beef came raw, packaged in a bag to cook in the broth. I asked for extra basil and they gave me two bags of basil, sprouts and jalapeños! The broth was very tasty and came extra hot, separate from the noodles so they didn't over absorb on the delivery! I also ordered the tofu spring rolls, they were good. The tofu was fried it seemed which gave extra flavor. Cons: I got wontons for my soup $3 for 3. And they didn't taste great. The spring rolls were only lettuce, rice noodles and tofu. No carrots, cucumber or anything else. I wish they had more variety!

I was never a fan of pho until I tried this place. It is a 5 minute drive from my place and next to a drive in theater. I mean who wouldn't want to eat some delicious pho for dinner and then go watch a movie. The employees are just wonderful and friendly. They are quick at attending you and taking your order. The food is great. Besides the pho, I absolutely love their wings ,orange chicken and shrimp fried rice. The restaurant has beautiful paintings and definitely very clean. If you are looking for some delicious pho, I'd definitely recommend this place.

Came here for lunch on a weekend and it was not that busy. I got the number 50 rice vermicelli with pork. It's a good portion for the price and came with a fair ratio of meat, veggies, and noodles. Service is good too. They checked in often to see if we needed anything.
